Mable is survived by four daughters Marsha Temple of Jackson, Linda Pace of Flowood, Patricia Hodges of Madison, and Nancy New of Ridgeland. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Tonya Temple Forester, Chris Temple, Amy Pace James, Justin Hodges, Channing Hodges, Jess New, and Zach New. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren who loved her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her mother Rosie Lee Frazier and her father Lynn Lee Frazier, and six siblings.
Mable was born on January 21, 1927 in Grenada County. She lived most of her adult life in Avalon and Greenwood before recently moving to Ridgeland. Her diverse occupations include airplane manufacturing, sales, farming, and later retiring from the Mississippi Department of Health. Being eager to continue contributing to the community, Mable worked another twelve years gaining another retirement from North New Summit School/Mississippi Community Education Center.
Mable was an active and dedicated member of Christ Baptist Church and later Immanuel Baptist Church both in Greenwood. She was a faithful member serving in the Woman's Missionary Union. She also was a member of the Greenwood Ladies Auxiliary.
Never meeting a stranger, her love of people and children was infectious. She shared her love of gardening, sewing, quilting, and cooking with her family and friends.
A celebration of Mable's life is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, with visitation prior starting at 10:00. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood.
