MARSHALL — Funeral services for Sandra Deramus Roberts, 67, of Gladewater, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery in Longview, Texas. A visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, February 28, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Roberts passed away February 26, 2014, in Longview, Texas.
Sandra Deramus Roberts was born July 14, 1947, in Longview, Texas, to Jesse Deramus and Ruth McAlister Deramus. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Marshall and owned and operated a home day care in Marshall for 25 years. After retirement, she moved to Gladewater. Sandra enjoyed spending time with family and her grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her.
Surviving Sandra is her mother, Ruth Ashe of Longview; sons, David W. Roberts Jr. of Jefferson and Clifford E. Roberts of Gladewater; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Roberts, Eli Harrison Roberts and Luke David Roberts, all of Jefferson; brother, Jesse Phillip and Molly Deramus of Longview; and sisters, Brenda Sue Freeman of Chalk Hill, Laura Debra and Billy Shirley of Gladewater and Kathy Jane and Greg Harris of Humble. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Sandra in death were her father, Jesse Eugene Deramus; and her husband, David W. Roberts Sr.
