Brenda Kay Barron Ours, age 65, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 4:00 AM, Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Redbanks Nursing Home.
Brenda was a Henderson native, having been born and raised here. She graduated from Henderson County High School with the class of 1967. Brenda later retired from Gibbs Die Casting after 19 years of service. She was a longtime member of Airline Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed the older type of country music, including Patsy Cline.
She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony Leroy and Etta Elizabeth Barron and brother Richard Barron.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Deanna MacConnell and husband Josh & Elaine Boyd and husband Brad; Brother: Thomas Barron; 2 Sisters: Christine Vaughn & Etta Jenkins all of Henderson, KY; 5 Grandchildren: Brennen MacConnell, Cory Boyd, Jackson MacConnell, Mia Boyd, & Vanessa Boyd; Nieces and Nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Brenda's Life Celebration from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and again on Friday starting at 9:00 AM until service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the funeral home with the Reverend Nathan Whisnant officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in
