Roy Duane Branum Jr., 62, a resident of Benton and a former resident of Anderson County, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009, due to injuries sustained in automobile accident.
He was a member of the New Home Baptist Church in Anderson County.
He was a member of the Local Sheet Metal Workers No. 5.Mr. Branum was the son of the late Roy Duane Branum Sr. and Beulah Loy Branum; and was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tina Branum; brother, Johnny Branum; sister, Norma Jean Branum; and brother-in-law, the Rev. James McCoy.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Branum of Benton; children and spouses, Roy Duane and April Branum, Christopher Gene Branum, and Tonya Branum, all of Andersonville, Carmela Wilkerson and Ronald Averill, Judy and Dwayne Wilkerson; stepchildren and spouses, James Hill and Eric Hill, both of Andersonville, Tonya and Ricky Dockery of Tellico, and Tina and Michael Roberts of Benton; 26 grandchildren; brother, David Branum; sisters, Madge McCoy and Briggette McCoy and husband, Kenneth McCoy, and Shelia Green and husband, Johnny Green; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, at the Holley-Gamble Funeal Home in Clinton with the Rev. Steve Ross officiating.
Interment will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
