Father of 20 children, 33 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, William
Henry Hall, 90 years old Confederate veteran, died last night at 10:35 pm in
his home, 1627 West Cary street. 7 of his children were by his first marriage
and 13 by the second. (Anna Louise, Anna's given name at birth was Louisanna
Hall, daughter of Timothy Thomas Hall & Sarah Sally Hall of Goochland, Va.)
15 of the children are living, the oldest Miss. Julia Hall, residing at 1519
W. Cary St. She is 62, The baby is Edith, she is 5 years old.

Mr. Hall was born in Boutetourt County, but spend most of his life in
Goochland County as a farmer. 3 years ago he moved ot Richmond, where
practically all of his children and grandchildren live. His son, Henry Franklin Hall originally lived in Richmond but in the mid 1920's moved his family to Southern New Jersey, where he later died.

William served in the Confederate Army, in the 44th regiment, Company D, Virginia
Infantry for 4 years, he was shot twice. He was wounded at the Battle of McDowell in 1862.

In May 1864, he was captured in the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse and was taken to Elmira prision in New York. He was released in June 1865. His command was under Stonewall Jackson.

The funeral will take place tomorrow at 2 pm in the Smyrna Church at 3 square
Virginia. The burial will be in the Smyrna Cemetery. Parents of William Henry
