Last rites for Russie Derrough, 87, of Bleakwood were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday of this week at Watson Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alton Jones of Palestine officiating.
Burial was in Bleakwood Cemetery under direction of Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home of Kirbyville.
Mrs. Derrough died Monday at Mixson Memorial Hospital in Kirbyville following an illness.
She was a native of Bleakwood, a former longtime resident of Port Arthur and had resided in Bleakwood for the past three years. She was a retired nurse for Texaco Refinery.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Derrough of Bleakwood; three sisters, Jo Hall and Minnie McKinney, both of Bleakwood, and Ethel Durdin of Silsbee; and two brothers, J.P. Wilson Jr. of Brownsville and Jessie Wilson of Port Arthur.
