Letha Kestner Smith, 57, wife of William Jerry Smith, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 03, 2005 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Kingsport, TN., she was the daughter of the late Preston and Annie Ward Kestner.
Mrs. Smith was a former employee with Steele Heedle and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she formerly worked with the nursery and WMU.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 35 years are a daughter, Heather Smith Ellis and her husband Robbie of Greenville; a son, William “Eric” Smith of Greenville; and a granddaughter, Hannah Ellis.
She was a loving wife, mother, and nana.
Visitation will be Tuesday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
