Billie June (Sherman) Greene, age 74, of Greenville, SC, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at her residence.

Born in Greenville, SC; daughter of the late James Burr Sherman (1897–1965) and Daisy Leila Cooke Sherman (1903–1978); wife of Rev. John Belvin Greene (1924-2014) for 57 years.

A homemaker and a member of Community Bible Church in Boiling Springs.

Other survivors include her sons, John Belvin Greene, Jr. (Susan) and Mark A. Greene (Lisa); daughter, Kimberly J. Gainey (Vince); seven grandchildren; sisters: Doris Mildred Sherman Howie (1923-2007), Peggy Lou Sherman Finley, and JoAnn Sherman Bledsoe; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Elizabeth Sherman Bishop (1927-1999).

Memorials made to Interim Hospice, Spartanburg, SC; or to the American Diabetes Association, North Canton, OH.

Visitation was held from 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.

The funeral service was held at 1:30 pm, Friday, April 1, 2005, in the chapel of the funeral home; burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
