Her passions in life were her faith in Jesus Christ, her family, and China and Oil painting. She and her husband of 74 years, William Andrew Spinks, enjoyed traveling around the world, time at their farm in Louisville, Georgia, watching their great-grandsons play baseball, and their only great-granddaughter swim and "play house". She was known as "Mimi" to many who considered her a grandmother.

Dupree, Jr.; granddaughters, Helen Kimbrell Dupree Kimbrough and Ellen Spinks Dupree Cook; grandsons- in-law, M. Scott Kimbrough and Lance L. Cook; great-grandchildren, Hylton R. Kimbrough, D.
