Mrs. Jane Thompson, 80, well known resident of this city died at her home. 405 Falls Street, Wednesday night after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Thompson was a native of upper Greenville County, but for the past 45 years made her home in this city. She was affectionately known to her many friends as "Aunt Jane" and was the widow of the late James M. Thompson who died a number of years ago. She attended Riverside Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters, Mrs. E. G. Coursey, of Augusta, Ga., Mrs. J. B. Floyd, of Knoxville Tenn., E. M. Thompson of this city, and E. G. Thompson of Columbus, Ga., in addition to 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Riverside Baptist Church. Rev. M. M. Barnett will conduct the service and will be assisted bt Rev. T. D. George. The interment will be to the Springwood Cemetery to the family plot.
The following will serve as active pallbearers; Haskell Thompson, Jimmie Thompson, Easton Thompson, Floyd Terrell, Jeff Gilreath and Edgar Coursey.
Honorary pallbearers will be J. R. Jenkinson, W. H. Pool, G. R. Busbee, E. Irman, T. F. Hant, and J. W. Batson. Further announcements well be made by Jones-McAfee funeral directors
