Actor. He will be best remembered for playing 'Harry Snowden, the bartender' in the TV series "All in the Family" (1976 to 1979) and "Archie Bunker's Place" (1979 to 1983). Born to Lithuanian-Jewish immigrants, his father was the proprietor of a dry cleaning business. A love for baseball led to ambitions of becoming a sports writer. Jason enrolled at Brooklyn College, where he studied English and Speech which led to his gravitation towards acting. During World War II, he served with the United States Army Air Force with who he was stationed in England and Germany and following his return home with the aid of the G.I. Bill, he studied acting at New York's New School. After acquiring experience in summer stock and off-Broadway productions, he marked his Broadway debut in "The Girl on the Via Flaminia" (1954). During this period, he launched his TV career and had credits in such programs as "Playhouse 90", "The Untouchables," "The Twilight Zone," "Outer Limits," "The Fugitive" and "Star Trek," as he specialized in playing the roles of detectives, reporters and doctors. Among one of his final roles was playing the recurring part of 'Judge Arthur Beaumont' in the TV series "Matlock." Additionally, he provided the voice for the character 'Boba Fett' in the 'Star Wars' film "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980).
